Privacy policy
This page describes the data DubaiJoon stores when you browse the catalogue, create a client account, use Favorites, leave reviews or questions, or contact the operator.
What is stored in your browser
This data stays on your device and is removed when you clear site data in your browser settings.
- A note that you confirmed your age, so you are not asked on every visit.
- Your Later or Don’t show again choice for the Telegram channel pop-up.
- A note that a listing was already opened in this tab, so one view is not counted twice.
- A technical cache of the signed-in client’s Favorites for fast interface updates. The server-side account remains the source of truth.
WhatsApp and Telegram buttons
The button points to a site redirect that sends you to a chat with one of the operator’s contacts. To count clicks, the site passes along the address of the page where you pressed the button. In WhatsApp that page address is pre-filled in the message, and you can edit it before sending.
The conversation then happens in the messenger. The site does not receive your phone number and cannot see your messages; WhatsApp and Telegram store them under their own policies.
Client accounts
A client account is required for Favorites, reviews and questions. We store your email, a password hash (never the password itself), sign-in session details and one-time password-reset tokens.
Guests cannot use Favorites. Browsing the catalogue and contacting the operator do not require an account.
Favorites
Favorite profile IDs are stored on the server and linked to the client account. After sign-in, the list is available in the browser where the account is active.
A client can remove individual profiles from Favorites or clear the whole list in the Favorites interface.
Contact form requests
We store your name, email, city, topic, message and the listing link if you attach one. To prevent spam, a hash of your IP address is kept with the request instead of the address itself. Replies go to the email you enter.
Reviews and questions
We store the text, the review rating and the link to the client account. Reviews and questions appear on the listing only after moderation, so leave out your phone number, address and other personal details.
View and action counters
The site counts views and some listing interactions as aggregate catalogue metrics. Only aggregate values are shown publicly.
Correcting and deleting data
To request correction or deletion of your data, write to us through the contacts page. Favorites can be cleared directly from the Favorites interface.
